The June meeting of the South Shore genealogical Society will be held Saturday, June 13, 2014, 1:30PM., at the John Curtis Free Library, Rt. 139, 534 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA, (781) 826-2972.
The topic will be Getting Started in Genetic Genealogy, and will be a previously recorded web presentation by Diahan Southard.
Genetic genealogy is not mysterious, it makes sense, there’s a pattern and you utilize DNA results plus you add your traditional genealogy skills into the mix. Sounds simple? Are you still mystified? In her presentation, given at Rootstech 2015, in Salt lake City, Diahan will discuss the tools and why you would want to take a DNA test. She will also discuss which test would be the best for you to take to accomplish your genealogy goals.
A microbiology graduate, Diahan Southard worked before and after graduation for the Sorenson Molecular Genealogy Foundation. Growing up with the budding genetic genealogy industry lead her to her current position as Your DNA Guide, where she provides personalized, interactive experiences to assist individuals and families in interpreting their genetic results in the context of their genealogical information.© Copyright 2015 Tanna K, All rights Reserved.
