Marian E. Begley SPRINGFIELD – Marian Elizabeth Begley died on September 18, 2013, a few hours after her birth. During her seven months of life in the womb, Marian repeatedly exceeded the expectations of her doctors, led friends and relatives to the sacraments, and inspired many thousands of prayers. Upon her birth, Marian received the sacraments of baptism, confirmation (in which she took the name Anne), and anointing of the sick. Marian died in her mother’s arms, having spent her life being loved by and bringing grace to her parents, grandparents, and all those who knew her; in short, she lived a life of inestimable worth. Marian was the first child of Jeremiah and Elizabeth (Weber) Begley, who survive her. She also leaves behind her maternal grandparents, John & Peggy Weber; her paternal grandparents, Ron & Carol Begley; and her aunts and uncles: Kerry Weber, Matthew & Eleanor Weber, William Begley, and Thomas Begley. Marian’s parents are profoundly grateful to Dr. Glenn Markenson and his colleagues at Baystate Medical Center for their devoted care, and to Fr. Ryan Rooney for his selfless sacramental ministry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held privately.
