Former House staffer and National Guardsman brings experience to role
Senator Robert Hedlund announced today that Joseph Sheehan has joined his staff as Communications Director and Legislative Assistant. The Pembroke-native has previously worked in the House of Representatives and was himself a candidate for office in the November election running for State Representative in the 6th Plymouth District.
Sheehan of Pembroke has long ties to the South Shore and experience at the State House. “I am grateful for the opportunity to work for Senator Hedlund and the people of the Plymouth and Norfolk District. The Senator has been an independent leader for the South Shore who has always stood for fiscal discipline and reform. I have long been a supporter of the work he does.”
The staff addition comes as Senator Hedlund begins a new term and legislative session as the Senate Assistant Minority Leader. “I am excited for this new term and to bring Joe on board our team,” stated Hedlund. “Joe brings a lot of experience and energy will serve our office and constituents well.”
Sheehan also serves in the Massachusetts Army National Guard and brings a strong knowledge of state emergency management and military affairs to the office. Sheehan is a graduate of Catholic University in Washington, D.C. and is currently pursuing a master’s degree in management from the University of Massachusetts – Boston.© Copyright 2015 Tanna K, All rights Reserved.
