James Gilman not running for Cohasset Selectman

We recently reported that James Gilman of the conservation commission was an “alleged” candidate for Cohasset Selectman. There is one seat open this year.

Gilman contacted the Gazette this week and in an e-mail said he is not a candidate. We have since learned of two others who may be interested in the Selectmen’s seat: School Committeeman Paul Schubert and Advisory Chair Peter Pescatore.

Selectman Martha Gjesteby has not yet declared if she is a candidate.

Two women are allegedly running for school committee: Katie Duggan and Ellen Maher (allegedly means their friends say they are thinking about it).

Nomination papers for Cohasset Annual Town Election for 2015 will be available on Monday, February 9 at the Town Clerk’s office. The last day to obtain nomination papers will be Thursday, March  19.
