The celebration of all things Irish will be the order of the day at the annual GOP8 brunch Sunday, March 16 at the Scituate Country Club. Attendees from eight towns will gather for good food, live Irish music and lighthearted banter from 9 a.m. to noon at what has become a beloved South Shore St. Patrick’s Day tradition.
State Senator Bob Hedlund once again will officiate as Master of Ceremonies as the town committees join friends and guests for a lighthearted morning observing the fun and heritage of ‘the green,” the approach of spring and the start of the 2014 political season.
Lt. Governor Candidate Karen Polito will be in attendance to address the guests. She will be joined by Candidate for Auditor Patricia St. Aubin, Candidate for Treasurer Mike Heffernan as well as 9th Congressional seat candidates Mark Allegro, John Chapman, Dan Shores and Vince Cogliano.
Incumbents as well as candidates running for seats in local towns are also expected to be present.
Other guests include Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz and Plymouth County Sheriff Joe MacDonald.
All are warmly invited to attend the festivities and enjoy the Gaelic inspired gala, enjoy tasty food, festive music, see old friends and make new ones at this good-humored commemoration of St. Patrick’s Day.
Admission is $25 and tickets are available at the door.
See you there!
