Genealogical meeting Nov. 8 at John Curtis Free Library in Hanover

The November 2014 meeting of the South Shore Genealogical Society will be held Saturday November 8, 2014 at the John Curtis Free Library, Hanover, MA. The meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m.

The featured speaker will be Seema-Jayne Kenney, a certified Professional Genealogist, whose topic will be “Using” for property research. She will guide the group through an on-line search of Massachusetts land records which can be of use to genealogists in locating where ancestors lived in Massachusetts.

The public is invited to join the group, and there is no charge for attending.


Kenney is a certified as a Guided AutoBiography Consultant (GAB) and a Legacy Planner.

In 2014, Kenney trimmed her services down to presentations, writing, and legacy rescues, with a focus on the legacy one leaves for their own grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Seema-Jayne was awarded the Brainerd T. Peck award for Family History by the Connecticut Society of Genealogists in 2014 for her book, Vena’s Roots : An Anderson/Boothby Family History.
