Every Connection Counts in Cohasset Walk MS

The Walk is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 at 10 am

imagesChances are, whether you’ve known Steve Sinopoli for years, or have just met him – he will ask you for money.   “I just had Lasik surgery, I sent (the doctor) a note and he sent me $100 bucks!”

The money isn’t for Steve, but rather The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Steve’s sister Sharon was diagnosed with MS twenty-four years ago. He was at work when she called him with the news. “I remember having to shut my door because I was crying.”

His tears have turned to fundraising – fearless fundraising. Steve, 54, who was born and raised in Cohasset, sends out about 400 snail mail letters and 1500 appeals via social media soliciting donations for his one-man team in Walk MS Cohasset

His motto: “You can’t say no, unless I ask you.”

MS (multiple sclerosis) interrupts the flow of information between the brain and body and can stop people from moving forward in their lives.  It is typically diagnosed between ages 20 and 50, but teenagers and even young children can have the disease. Nearly 12,000 individuals and families are affected by MS in Massachusetts alone.

Connect and become more powerful than multiple sclerosis.  Walk MS Cohasset.  Sign up at “walkMSgne.org
