Dennis Zaia appointed to part-time faculty at Emerson College

D ZaiaDennis Zaia has been appointed as part-time faculty in the Communication Studies Department at Emerson College. This fall, he will teach a graduate course in Human Resources and Employee Communication for students in the Master of Arts in Communication Management program.

Zaia and his firm, FOCUS ASSOCIATES, specialize in developing human resources systems to improve performance for growing companies. With more than 25 years of business experience, he has successfully facilitated the development of innovative training and development programs, interviewing systems, team building workshops, performance improvement systems, employee relations-communication processes, creative compensation strategies and highly efficient recruiting systems.

Zaia is also a contributing author of Managing People, Lead Your Staff to Peak Performance published by Adams Media Corp. He was Vice-President for Human Resources for Creative Gourmets, LLC prior to starting FOCUS ASSOCIATES.

Complementing his business experience is a significant commitment to community affairs. Past President of the Friends of the Paragon Carouse, Zaia is currently Clerk of the Board of Directors, Secretary of the Nantasket-Hull Rotary and a Paul Harris Fellow in Rotary International. He served as President of the Hull-Nantasket Chamber of Commerce for 7 years and remains active today.

His clients include small family owned businesses, local municipalities and non-profit organizations, mid-sized companies and organizations, all of which benefit from the personalized coaching and support offered by Zaia and FOCUS ASSOCIATES of Hull.
