The advisory committee voted 5-4 against a citizen’s petition article that would authorize the expansion of the Central Cohasset Waste Water Sewer system district into King Street.
Advisory chair Peter Pescatore said it was not in the sewer district and a majority of advisors felt the creation of districts best be handled by the sewer commission.
The petition states that all costs, design, permit and construction and installation costs, would be handled by a private contractor who owns land in the area.
Selectmen took note of the article at their Thusday night meeting (3/20). All noted that sewer had gained additional capacity, and said that sewer commissions most likely had a plan for moving forward and they would be interested in hearing the discussion.© Copyright 2014 Tanna K, All rights Reserved.
