Brian Lee of the Worcester Telegram and Gazette staff reported on Friday, May 30 that a lobbyist for Aquarian (Bill Malloy, formerly of Cohasset and a good friend of Gabriel Gomez} is accused of pulling a fire alarm to stop debate and a vote at the May 7-8 town meeting. That alarm prevented an early-morning revote that could have resulted in Oxford’s takeover of Aquarian.

According to Lee, “Oxford Police Sgt. Jeromy Grniet said authorities have requested a magistrate’s hearing in Dudley District Court to pursue misdemeanor charges of a false fire alarm and disturbing a public assembly against William F. Malloy, Jr., 57, of 31 Wildcat Lane in Norwell.”

Lee reported that Town Manager Joseph M. Zeneski has said the alarm pull was a deliberate act to stop the town meeting.
