Scituate Arts Association is now offering advance sales of tickets for their biennial Holiday House Tour to be held on the afternoon of Sunday, December 7.th This event will be a chance to see and celebrate this year’s work on the Ellis! Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 the day of the event. They can be purchased at the SAA’s Front Street Art Gallery and at the Inn at Scituate Harbor. The tour booklets will be available for pickup on the day of the tour, Dec 7th at the Front Street Art Gallery from 11am. The tour will run from 1:00-4:00 with a reception from 3:00 to 5:30.
The tour will provide a jumpstart to Holiday decorating and spirit with the opportunity to admire art and holiday décor. Tour plans include 6 houses with a classic Scituate beachfront cottage,with a great harbor view, a Federal style Greek Revival home recommended for National Trust nomination and two very early Capes each reflecting the unique tastes and interests of their owners. And as a bonus, the opportunity to see the ongoing renovation of the Silias Peirce Homestead paired with a large selection of Front Street Gallery Artists works. The tour will culminate in a Members’ Show, raffles, live music and a reception at the Art Association’s central jewel and studios—The Ellis House. There, our guests will have a chance to admire the historic trims on the interior, our entry mural and freshly painted historic colors on all four sides of the house!”
Funds raised from this event are slated to help with restoration work on the Ellis House as well other SAA sponsored programs.
